Alamance County Fallen Heroes MemorialLocated at the Children’s Museum in Graham, NC 27253
This Memorial is for the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice “Line of Duty Death”. The criteria for the remembrance on this memorial is the Line of Duty Death serving the citizens of Alamance County or born in Alamance County and have died elsewhere as an Emergency Services worker serving another community. This memorial incorporates all of the Emergency Services that protects and serves our County.
Law Enforcement, Rescue, EMS, Fire and 911Telecommunicator dispatchers will forever be remembered and honored by all citizens of this County which they provided the dedication and professionalism to make our lives and community better. Our committee is currently raising the $200,000.00 dollars needed to make this memorial a reality and encourage the Citizens of Alamance County to support this cause and remember these individuals and their families for the jobs and services that these men and women have provided for our County.
In 2008 the estimated number of residents in Alamance County was over 148,000 people and based on these numbers if everybody donated $1.35 we could do this together and have this memorial to remember our hero’s that served for future generations.
Please approach any of the representatives in uniform from the Emergency Services to ask questions, purchase raffle tickets or to make a donation to this Memorial fund. We will be throughout the community in the up and coming months at various times collecting donations and selling raffle tickets. Donations can also be made at Mid Carolina banking locations in the County to the “Alamance County Fallen Hero’s Memorial fund”.
In the near future we will be having various events to raise the money needed to complete this project including; Tractor pull, Car shows, community dinners, motorcycle shows and sponsored rides. We need your help and continued support as you have shown in the past to make this happen.
Thank you for supporting this cause, The “Alamance County Fallen Hero’s Memorial” committee.
